Attila Csihar has been the vocalist with some of the most respected, cult-Metal bands of all time. In the mid-eighties ATTILA helped form Tormentor.
Tormentor recorded the very influential: “Anno Domini” album in 1989. It was originally slated to be released by Euronymous (Mayhem guitarist) on his Death Like Silence label. (this plan was not realized due to the extremely controversial murder of Euronymous by Burzum/Count Grishnack) From his incredible vokill work on those recordings, Euronymous asked him to contribute vocals to a upcoming Mayhem album. That album became the De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas album.
Considered by many to be the best Black Metal album of all time.!! The performance of Attila on that album is completely groundbreaking, and often imitated. On those recordings, Attila simultaneously created a new standard for vocalists, and established himself as thee premier Black Metal vocalist. After Mayhem , he fronted Plasma Pool. Plasma Pool showed daring creative steps in a whole new direction. Combining influences from Black Metal, industrial and even New Wave.
Through the years Attila has been asked to collaborate with a variety of respected bands. His work with: Emperor, Limbonic Art, Annal Nathrakh, are all featured on “The Beast Of”. Currently Attila is fronting Aborym (futuristic/cryptic Black Metal), Korog (Blackened-rock n’ roll), and Professor Fate (w/ Annal Nathrakh members). Unreleased, brutal tracks from each of those bands are also available on "the Beast Of". Showing his extremely diverse, artistic vision, he has also recorded vocals for Southern Lords' own drone-masters sunn0))) (for the upcoming “White 2” album) and recently performed live with them on their European tour. His collaboration w/sunn0))) : “Decay”(the Symptoms of Kaly Yuga) is available here as a mp3, a special mix from Attila himself.
“The Beast of” is a blessing from below. A proper testimonial to the darkened arts of the best Black Metal vocalist of all time: ATTILA!

the Lord suggests the following essential ATTILA recordings:
Mayhem-"De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" CD (Possibly the darkest, most disturbed Metallic recording ever created. Attila at his bleakest ....)
Tormentor-"Anno Domini" Lp /picture disc-Ill admit that I was a little late in hearing this cult recording (round 97') but..completely blown away by the raw nihilism and inventive way Tormentor played blackened/speed-thrash. Reminiscent of 80's German Thrash gone fukked /haywire and of course the unmistakable vokills of Attila.
Aborym-"Fire Walk With Us". Not being a big fan of "cyber-black metal", I approached this with caution, but after the first listen I was hooked. Beyond brutality, insanely fast blastbeats and psychotic riffing. Once again Attilas vokills are the best. Untouchable.
...and as a side note: the track "Decay (The Symptoms of Kali Yuga)" w/ sunn0))) is personally my favorite sunn0))) track ever recorded! Attilas' vocal work on this is absolutely incredible. TRANCE!!!
