Lair of the Minotaur - War Metal Battle Master

Lair of the Minotaur’s third full length on Southern Lord Records, WAR METAL BATTLE MASTER is a concept album about solving conflicts with a big fucking axe! Recorded at Volume Studios in Chicago by Sanford Parker (Pelican, Unearthly Trance, Venomous Concept) and mastered by Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer member). The songs are a mix of the thrashing aggression & mega-riffage of the previous album: The Ultimate Destroyer and the unrelenting beatings & Sabbath chugs of Carnage, mixed with a new emotionless ferocity reserved for an executioner.

In standard Southern Lord fashion the packaging of this album is epic...featuring illustrations by Jeremy Mohler and layout by Seldon Hunt. The CD will contain a 20 page booklet with graphic illustrations for each song.
A video for the title track was filmed with director Gary Smithson (High on Fire, Goatwhore, Exodus). Due to be released February 2008.
